Bluegrass musician. Audie Blaylock was a noted bluegrass mandolinist and guitarist. During his career, the International Bluegrass Music Association awarded him the honors of Instrumental Group of the Year and Entertainer of the Year. At age 19, he got his big break, playing mandolin for Jimmy Martin and the Sunny Mountain Boys. He spent nine years playing with the legendary group before securing a spot with bluegrass legend Red Allen, who he played for until Allen's death in 1993. After this time, he went on to play with many noted artists such as Harley Allen, the Lynn Morris Band, Chris Jones and the Night Drivers, Rhonda Vincent and the Rage, and Michael Cleveland. During his final years, he led his own band, Audie Blaylock and Redline.
