Once her children where in school, she went back to school for bookkeeping and business management, while stationed in Las Vegas, she worked in department stores in the credit division and took care of many celebrities. After her husband retired from the Air Force, they moved to Big Spring and opened Chucks Surplus, which they owned for over 30 years. Survivors have been removed for privacy.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Chuck, daughter Cheryl Kight and sister Wynna Green.

Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory.
