Norman Eugene Akin, age 83, of Clarksville, TN, passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2024.

Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, January 14, 2024, with Rev. David Mackens and Rev. Tim Ferrell officiating. Burial will follow at McWhorter Cemetery.

The Akin family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. Saturday, January 13, 2024, at McRenolds-Nave And Larson Funeral Home and on Sunday from 10 a.m. until the hour of service at the Funeral Home.

In addition to his parents, Norman was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Florance Akin; sister, Lillian Stockdale; brothers, JD Akin, Walter Lee Akin, James Akin, Thomas Akin, Herman Akin, Dean Akin, and Edward Akin.

Survivors include children, Paul E. Akin, Sally Lawrence, Donald R. Akin (Sissy), and Douglas A. Akin; grandchildren, Danieal Akin, Dennis (Rachael) Lawrence, Jennifer (Matt) Matuszak, Bridgette (Kerry) Richardson, Bodie Akin, Caleb Akin, Angela Akin; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Aiden, Maddox, Ryker, Henry, Clara, Taryn, Macy, Rayna, Cale, Chloe, Paisley, and Brittany; great-great-grandchildren, Stella and Kamdyn; brother, Wade Akin; sisters, Trisha Dyce, Elizabeth Stockdale.

Pallbearers will be Danieal Akin, Matt Matuszak, Caleb Akin, Terry Akin, Kerry Richardson, Dennis Lawrence, and Aiden Lawrence.

Norman entered this life on August 7, 1940, in Montgomery County, TN, son of the late John and Elizabeth Hayes Akin. He was a member of Lone Oak Baptist Church and was a carpenter.
