Daughter of Edward and Mary Anne (White) Tyler
Former wife of James H. Hinckley, married in Shandaken, NY on May 13, 1888. Later separated by 1905.

In 1900 Fed. census of Shandaken, NY. , states that they had been the parents of six children. Only two were living at that time, Daniel and Juliet. Due to unknown circumstances, their son, Daniel, at a very young age was institutionalized. First in 1905 census, at the Syracuse State Hospital for feeble minded children and later was at the Rome State Custodial Asylum (later called Rome State School - Mental Defective) from 1910-1950 censuses. No records appeared for their daughter, Juliet, after 1900.

Harriet moves to Binghamton, NY and appears in directories from 1906 - 1914 with her marital status as widow of James H Hinckley. No records have been found beyond 1914. Meanwhile, in 1905 and 1915 census records, James is living with his brother, William and family until his death in 1916.
