Bio

Lord, help me dig into the past,
And sift the sands of time,
That I might find the roots that made
This family tree of mine.

Lord, help me trace the ancient roads,
On which my fathers trod,
And led them through so many lands,
To find our present sod.

Lord, help me find an ancient book,
Or dusty manuscript,
That's safely hidden now away,
In some forgotten crypt.

Lord, let it bridge the gap that haunts
My soul, when I can't find
The missing link between some name
That ends the same as mine

First of all, I have lived in this area (Roxbury, Jefferson, Stamford and South Kortright) all my life. I am very involved in family history and have been researching family roots for almost 50 years now. I am a past secretary of the Stamford Cemetery Association and had the privilege of organizing cemetery burials into a spreadsheet form, hoping it would be continued for future generations to find their families. Personally, I have found that seeing burial records can help to tie together pieces of the "family" puzzle. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have and I will try my best to answer them or maybe find an answer...
