Ada was baptised at Holy Trinity, Bedford, on 10 February 1874, probably because they knew she did not have long to live. She died very soon after her baptism, at the age of 6 months, and was buried on 13 February 1874. She lived at 12 Union Square, Holy Trinity, Bedford (according to the burial register) 14 Union Street according to the baptism register. At the time of their marriage, Joseph was a baker, but by the time Ada was baptised he was a soldier. There is no father's name for Joseph in the marriage register, but Rebecca's father (Ada's grandfather) was John Andrews, a miller.
