He was a mechanic by trade and worked at American Steel Castings Corp. prior to his retirement. He was a member of Artisans in Chester.
Survivors are his wife, Anna, and five children: Mrs. Margaret K. Downes, Mrs. Mary K. Ledder, Elizabeth M. Kunkel, Jack Kunkel, and Nancy E. Kunkel.
