He gave his uncle Patrick Henry Carr, of 36 Smith Street, North Attleborough, Mass., as his point of contact. When he registered for the draft on 5 June 1917, he was living at his uncle's residence and was employed as a polisher/cuffer with a local company. Served in the US Navy Reserve Force as an attendant in Newport Naval Hospital. Died at Newport Naval Hospital, Rhode Island, on 12 (or 17) Feb 1919. Buried in St Mary's Cemetery, North Attleborough, Mass. In 1931, Margaret Carr, of 36 Smith Street, North Attleborough, who was likely his first cousin, applied for a veterans headstone for him. Commemorated on the war memorial in Killure Cemetery, Ahascragh, County Galway, Ireland.
