"Mrs. Leah Fawn Adams of Excelsior Springs, formerly of Kansas City, died Thursday at the home. She was born in Clio, Iowa, and had lived in this area most of her life. She was a secretary before she retired in 1969. Mrs. Adams was a member of the Clio Methodist Church. She leaves two brothers, Parker Elson of Leon, Iowa, and Harold Elson of Liberty; and three sisters, Mrs. Fannie Bettis of Des Moines, Iowa, and Mrs. Hazel Nelson and Mrs. Donabel Griffey, both of Kansas City. Services will be at 3 p.m. Monday at the Mount Moriah Chapel; entombment in Mount Moriah Mausoleum." The Kansas City Star, January 6, 1978
