A grand celebration took place in the heavens on the return of our beloved father, Pa (grandfather), brother, brother-in-law, uncle, and friend on December 19, 2023, at the age of 80. In the last nine months, he fought a long hard battle with liver cancer, endured the challenges of a broken back, and the complications of an infection. He endured it all with his endearing positive attitude and continual love for all those that were around him.

He was born in September 1943, to David Phillip and Zola Beebe. He was the second of seven children. He enjoyed spending time with his siblings and their families - David, Robert, Bonnie, Roger, Steve, and Alene. He was a proud graduate of Bingham High School - class of 1961. He was actively involved in the debate program (competed for the State Championship) - the thought of him debating is still shocking to those who really know him. He also played the trumpet in the marching band, and participated in other high school activities. He served a thirty-month mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Helsinki, Finland. He loved the people of Finland and conversed with them so well that many thought he was a native.

He obtained a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Utah in Behavioral Sciences/Psychology. He was involved in the Air Force ROTC program and participated in their flight training program with thoughts of becoming a pilot. He furthered his educational pursuit and obtained a Master's of Business Administration from The University of Phoenix. He loved education, people, and the gospel of Jesus Christ, so he chose a career that allowed him to do all three of those things on almost a daily basis for thirty-nine years. He was revered and loved as a seminary and institute teacher at Churchill Junior High, Olympus High, Cottonwood High, Kearns High, Granger High, and The Salt Lake Community College.

He married the love of his life, Charlotte Carroll, on November 19, 1965, for all time and eternity in the Salt Lake City Temple. We were honored to share their 53rd wedding anniversary just days prior to her passing a little over five years ago. The thought of them being re-united helps ease the pain of him leaving us. Charlotte is Don's queen and Don is Charlotte's king! Together they had two children (Scott and Michelle), and two more were added to the family by marriage (Lisa and Jason). Three grandchildren (Lexie, Sydnee, and Spencer) are so grateful that they have the blessing to have the greatest grandparents in the world.

He was affectionately known as "Heeb" in the Beebe household. A name given to reflect his driving style that was similar to the Heber Creeper train (slow and steady), which served the family well on many "safe" road-trips.

He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved the Savior like few that have walked the earth. He served him as a missionary, bishopric member, Bishop, stake presidency member, Patriarch (for over 20 years), and in many other positions. He loved to serve, because he loved so much.

Don will always be remembered for tea parties in the basement with his grandchildren, Easter Bunny family scavenger hunts, clean cars and trucks, meticulously kept shoes, dressing for success, taking care of his neighbors, ice cream was the food pyramid (out of the 5 gallon bucket-please), lawn double-mowed in a crisscross pattern, was the free barber to many, listening ear to all, loved unconditionally, never spoke ill words about another, treated every living thing with absolute kindness and respect, never passed judgment, fed anyone that came in his home (hungry or not), when he spoke people listened, he saw the good and potential in everyone, and animals were drawn to him. It is safe to say he positively impacted the lives of everyone he had contact with. Those who were around him for any length of time immediately knew he was a special individual. He could be heard saying, everything is "wonderful", even in the most challenging of times. He was a light in a world that can be so dark!

Don was a Utah alum, but his blood was blue! Touchdowns in LaVell Edwards Stadium, or at bowl game, will never be the same without his knuckles contacting ours. He loved attending or watching BYU football and basketball games. Go Cougs!

The family wishes to thank all of his wonderful healthcare providers that treated him with great kindness, respect, and love in the last few months.

He leaves a legacy of faith, strength, service, light, and love. He is deeply loved by all and will be greatly missed. We are so grateful for the knowledge that we will see him again and spend the eternities with him and his queen.

A celebration of Don's life and legacy will be held Thursday, December 28, 2023, 11:00 a.m., at the Jordan River Stake Center, 1380 West 6785 South, West Jordan, Utah. Viewings will be held Wednesday, December 27, 6:00-9:00 p.m. at the Jordan River Stake Center, and again on Thursday prior to services from 9:00-10:45 a.m. Interment, West Jordan City Cemetery, 7925 South 1300 West, West Jordan, Utah.
