Levi Martin Battles
Levi Martin Battles, 70, died Wednesday, December 16, 1925, at his home, nine miles west and one mile south of Stillwater, Ok.
Funeral services were held at 1 o'clock Friday afternoon at the Marena church. Burial was in Marena cemetery.
The decedent was born in Iowa. February 14, 1855. He was married in that state to Miss Margaret Kimball, forty-two years ago. In 1889 they moved to Oklahoma, homesteading the farm on which they lived.
Mr. Battles is survived by his widow and eight children. The children are Bert Battles, who lives on the homestead; Noble Battles, who lives near the homestead; Mrs. J.Ramos, of Cushing; Mrs. Mable Weaver, of Davenport; Mrs. John O'Leary, of Stillwater, and Lovie, Sam and Seth Battles, who live at home.
