Aged Arenzville Resident Passed Away at 4:30 O'clock Yesterday Afternoon After Short Illness
Mrs. Hannah Beard, a lifelong resident of Cass county died very suddenly at her home in Arenzville yesterday afternoon at 4:30 o'clock. She was taken ill Sunday. Death was attributed by physicians to heart trouble.
Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2:20 o'clock from the late residence in Arenzville and interment will be made in the Arenzville cemetery.
Hannah Wood was born in Cass county in the year 1842 and was the daughter of Mrs. James Elizabeth Woods who resided in the vicinity of Arenzville and was well known throughout that section.
In 1866 she was united in marriage with Henry C. Beard. The husband preceded her to the grave, but four children survive. They are Mrs. C.V. Long, formerly of Beardstown but now of Denver, Col., Mrs. E.B. Hierman, Mrs. B.F. Graham and Mrs. J.F. Hiermen, all of Arenzville.
