Lucy I. Hostetter, age 81, of West Manchester Township, York, died at 2:10 PM Thursday, December 14, 2023, at Normandie Ridge. She was the wife of the late Walter "Butch" Hostetter, Jr.

Born December 28, 1941, in York, a daughter of the late Bernard & Ellen (Reed) Beck, she was a 1960 graduate of William Penn High School, and was retired from York City School District. She was a member of Laurel Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, Vigilant Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, and a Social Member of Vigilant Social Club. She enjoyed bowling, the York Revolution Baseball, a cup of black coffee and a smoke, Pepsi, dancing, the Washington Redskins, Baltimore Orioles, playing cards, the beach, friends, and family!

Mrs. Hostetter is survived by a daughter, Kimberly A. Harman, and her husband Arthur "Oss", of York; two grandchildren, Arthur H. Harman, and Nicole L. Harman; two great grandchildren, Khloe L. Harman, and Andrew J. Harman; a sister, JoAnn E. Brickner; nieces and nephews and many other loved ones and friends. She was also preceded in death by a son, Walter Hostetter, III; three sisters, Lorraine Landes, Ellen Boyer, and Beverly Beck; a nephew, Eugene Landes, Jr.; and a niece, Cathy Ruskin.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM Thursday, December 21, 2023, at Kuhner Associates Funeral Directors, Inc., 863 South George Street, York. Viewings will be from 4:00-6:00 PM Wednesday, and 9:00-10:00 AM Thursday. Burial will be in Dover Bethany Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
