Abram was born on September 29, 1944 to the late Cleotis and Dovie Dial. Abram would be described by his family as a loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather. Those who knew him admired him for his good and honest nature and his strong work ethic. Abram worked in the industrial industry as a steel worker for over 50 years. Besides his love for family and his job, he also loved farming. He was an avid farmer and found joy in manual labor.
Abram leaves behind beloved wife Evelyn Dial; son Abram Dial Jr (Amy) of Maxton, NC; six sisters, Carolyn Gee Claxton of Twin Falls, ID, Vertie Richards of Charlotte, NC; Dorothy Hornberger of Fairfield, VA; Fran Burkley of Bowie, MD, Sharon Taylor of Honea Path, SC, and Brenda Rozier of Fayetteville, NC; brother Dexter Dial of Greenville, SC; four grandchildren, Erica Strickland, Tyler Dial, Tristan Dial, and Tanner Dial; one great-granddaughter; and a host of loving family and friends.
Along with his parents, Abram is preceded in death by his two beloved daughters, Hope McMillian, and Donna Strickland; brother Larry Dial; and sisters Deola Locklear and Ava Smith.
