Hazel is the daughter of Void and Lorene Bryan. She married Jim Alexander on December 30, 1956.

Obituary: Hazel Alexander, 85, of Excelsior Springs, Missouri passed away December 1, 2023 in San Juan, Texas.

Mrs. Alexander was born February 2, 1938 in Rayville, Missouri. In her young life she attended elementary school in Rayville before attending Excelsior Springs High School. Hazel married Jim Alexander December 30, 1956 and later welcomed their sons; Tom and Ricky Alexander. During her career Hazel worked as a Stanley Home product dealer, substitute postal carrier, and finally as a manager for Uniway Buyers Club. Hazel and Jim have been long residents of Excelsior Springs and after retirement wintered in San Juan, Texas for many years. Hazel enjoyed patchwork quilting, needlepoint and sewing, crafting, boating and fishing and was a wonderful cook and baker to the delight of her family and friends. She was a long-time member of the Salem Christian Union Church.

Hazel is preceded in death by her parents Lorene and Void Bryan, brother Lonnie Bryan, son Ricky Alexander, and grand-daughter Erica Alexander.

Survivors include husband Jim Alexander, son and daughter-in-law Tom and Lana Alexander, granddaughter Jamie Alexander, great grandson Ethan Green, great granddaughters; Emma Green, Ariel Alexander, and step-granddaughters Alex Brandon and Christina Soetaert.

Visitation will be held at Hidden Valley Funeral Home of Excelsior Springs on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at 1:00PM with funeral service beginning at 2:00PM. Burial to follow at Salem Christian Union Cemetery, Excelsior Springs, Missouri.
