Rudy Castor, 92, Topeka, died Sat., April 19, 2008, at Eventide Convalescent Center. He was born April 3, 1916, in San Marcos, TX, the son of John and Alvina (Ordaz) Castor. He was a carman at the Santa Fe Shops and custodian at West Side Christian Church. Rudy was a member of Hillside Community Church. He was married to Mary Castor who preceded him in death, four children were born to this union: Eduardo, Robert, Joey, and Betty. He was married to Barbara Anne (Binkley) in 1966. She preceded him in death on Oct. 29, 1997. Surviving in addition to his children are 2 step-sons: Ronald Petrie and Brian Massey both of Topeka; 2 brothers: Marvin Castor of Hutchinson and Joe Castor of Illinois; 6 grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter. Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM, Thurs., April 24, 2008, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence. Interment in Topeka Cemetery. Rudy will lie in state after 3:00 PM, Wed., at the funeral chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Hillside Community Church, 2521 SW 37th St, Topeka, KS 66611.
