Mrs. Clara Evans, of 160 Walnut St., Walden, died in St. Luke’s Hospital early today, one day after her 85th birthday. Born in Rosendale on July 17, 1870, the daughter of the late William and Mary C. Hasbrook Anderson, she had lived in Walden for many years. A member of the First Reformed Church of Walden, she is survived by her husband, Neal Evans, two sisters, Mrs. L. M. Decker and Mrs. Percy Gazlay, both of Accord, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Fred C. Gridley Funeral Home at 39 Orchard St., Walden, with the Rev. Garrett C. Roordax officiating. Interment will be in Wallkill Valley Cemetery at Walden.
