Hilda Higgins Robinson

Hilda Higgins Robinson, age 74, of the Double Island Community, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 4th, 2020 at Care Partners Solace Center.
A native of Yancey County, she was a daughter of the late Lester and Maude Sparks Higgins.
She was also preceded in death by a sister, Catherine Yingling and brothers: RC, Bernard, Paul and Larry Higgins.
Hilda was a member of Greater Remnant Church. She was a devoted Christian and prayer warrior. She was a caregiver to many and loved her family dearly. Hilda will always be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother and sister.
Surviving is her loving husband of 55 years, Ronnie Robinson; daughter, Dawn Walker and husband, Jason, of Double Island; son, Ronnie "Robbie" Robinson, II of the home; sisters: Aileene Higgins Robinson of Westminster, MD, Delorise Higgins Wagner of Bel Air, MD and Amelia "Millie" Higgins Price of Green Sea, SC and brothers; Donald Higgins of Double Island and Frank Higgins of Lineboro, MD. Numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family members also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, October 7th in the Chapel of Yancey Funeral Services. Pastor Wesley Ward will officiate.
Private family graveside services will be held on Thursday in the Fred Young Cemetery at Pleasant Gap.
Memorial donations may be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
