Services for GAETANO AMATO, 70, of 311 Berkshire ave., will be conducted at the Pirro and Sons Funeral Home at 9:15 a.m. tomorrow and at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Pompei Church where a solemn high Mass of Requiem will be celebrated by the Rev. William L. Walsh. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery. Mr. Amato, a resident of Syracuse for 48 years, was a retired Onondaga County Highway Department employe. Surviving are two sons, Samuel and Joseph Amato; nine daughters, Mrs. Concetta Merlino, Mrs. James Cappa, Mrs. Frank Congel, Mrs. Richard Fazio, Mrs. Thomas Cooper, Mrs. Michael Bucci, Mrs. William Tarbet, Miss Rose Amato and Miss Helen Amato; two brothers, Rosario Amato, Syracuse and Dominick Amato, Italy; a sister, Mrs. Frank Squadrito, 17 grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 10 p.m. today.
