W. L. "Tommy" Askew, 88, Christian County, died Sunday, Nov. 19, 2017, at Ahava Healthcare of Clarksville.
Funeral arrangements are private. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home in Hopkinsville is in charge of the arrangements.
A native of Christian County, he was born Nov. 26, 1928, the son of the late John Couts Askew and Barbara Barker Askew. He retired from the U.S. Air Force as Lieutenant Colonel and was a Korean War and Vietnam veteran. He was an owner and manager of Laurindale Farm.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Askew; his sons, Fred (Vicki) Askew, Brentwood, Tenn. and Dan (Joanne) Askew and Logan (Lynn) Askew, both of Christian County; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
