Sandra Darlene Vanoster, 86, of Marietta, passed away at her home in Glenwood Community on Thursday, November 16, 2023. Sandra was born on February 23, 1937, in Waverly, WV, a daughter of Fred Dana Duffey and Agnes Glena Crouser Duffey.

She was a graduate of Marietta High School, Class of 1955 and had been employed by Warren's IGA on 7th Street, Fenton Art Glass and Marietta College. She was the owner and operator of Sandy's Plant and Gift Shop. She had been on Belpre City Council and enjoyed gardening, playing bridge, music, nature and being a mother and grandma.

She is survived by her children: Cheryl (Troy) Ellis, Clark (Cathy) Mackey, Chet (Jennifer) Mackey, Cappi (Phil) Kehl, Cindy (Andrzej) Jaworski, step children: Pam Vanoster, Danny Vanoster, Malea Vanoster, Faith Vanoster, 26 Grandchildren, 36 Great grandchildren, siblings: Clara Bobbie Anderson, Nyoka Sue Northover and Douglas "Brent" Duffey, close companion Jessie Ray.

Preceding her in death, were ex-husband, Ray Mackey and husband Donald Vanoster, stepson Jeff Vanoster, a grandson William "Billy" Friese, 5 brothers and sisters, Frieda, Fred, Omi, Clark, Billy and Hope and special companion Chuck Randolph.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday (Nov. 21) at 11:00 am at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home. Family will greet friends on Monday from 2-4 & 6-8. Messages of sympathy may be sent at www.Lankfordfh.com.

In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of choice will be appreciated.
