Vernon Zollicoffer, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Zollicoffer, was born on August 18, 1943, in Leake County, MS.
He departed this life on July 21, 1966, at 11:30 a.m. at Montford Jones Memorial Hospital.
Vernon accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior early in life and joined Traveler's Rest Baptist Church, Kosciusko, MS; and served as a faithful member until his death.
He attended the Tipton Street High School and completed his school work in 1963.
He was married to Miss Dorothy Kate Riley on July 10, 1965, in Kosciusko, MS. To this union a daughter was born.
He leaves to mourn his passing a devoted wife, Mrs. Dorothy Kate Zollicoffer; a daughter, Miss La Juan Zolicoffer; a loving mother, Mrs. Merlean Nash; a devoted father, Mr. Albert Zollicoffer; three sisters and four brothers, Miss Georgia Lee Nash, Miss Beatrice Nash, and one sister who preceded him in death, Miss Margie Nash; Mr. Sherman Zollicoffer, of Milwaukee, WI; Mr. John Lewis Zollicoffer, Mr. Elroy Nash, Mr. Jimmie Joe Nash, and Mr. Robert Earl Nash, all of Kosciusko, MS; grandmother, Mrs. Bessie Dodd, Indianapolis, IN;.five uncles, eleven aunts, and a host of relatives and friends.
