Pioneer Succumbs At Age Of 82
Funeral services were held for Mrs Eunice Child, 82, of 613th St Ogden, Utah, Thursday, February 10, 1944 in the Eighteenth Ward chapel.
Mrs Child, the widow of Orville R. Child, was born at Calls Fort, Box Elder County May 10, 1861. She was the daughter of John C and Mary Allen Dewey. She was married to Mr Child December 23, 1880 in the Salt Lake Endowment House. Mr Child died in Ogden, February 1, 1943.
Mrs Child was an active member of the L.D.S. church and has worked in all the organizations. They lived in Star Valley for 25 years.
She was the mother of seven children, six of whom survive her. Her oldest boy, Orville was killed in an automobile accident on Christmas Day, 1937.
Following are the daughters and one living son:
Mrs Ella Allred of Ogden.
Mrs Effie sessions of Afton.
Mrs Gene Roberts, Ogden.
Mrs Emmy Wysong, Los Angeles
Mrs Verba Taylor, Afton
John R. Child Baker City Oregon.
She has 39 grandchildren and 48 great grandchildren. The following are her brothers and sisters.

Charles J. Dewey Tremonton,
Mrs Lettie D. Campbell, Afton,
Mrs Edna Pierson and Mrs Addie Gardner, Deweyville, Utah.
The funeral services were as follows:
