Mrs Eunice Child, wife of the late Orville R. Child of Ogden passed away at Ogden on February 7th at her home. Funeral services were held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. in the 18th Ward chapel in Ogden. She was 83 years old.
It was one year ago on the 3rd of February that her husband passed away.
Pioneer Succumbs At Age Of 82
Funeral services were held for Mrs Eunice Child, 82, of 613th St Ogden, Utah, Thursday, February 10, 1944 in the Eighteenth Ward chapel.
Mrs Child, the widow of Orville R. Child, was born at Calls Fort, Box Elder County May 10, 1861. She was the daughter of John C and Mary Allen Dewey. She was married to Mr Child December 23, 1880 in the Salt Lake Endowment House. Mr Child died in Ogden, February 1, 1943.
Mrs Child was an active member of the L.D.S. church and has worked in all the organizations. They lived in Star Valley for 25 years.
She was the mother of seven children, six of whom survive her. Her oldest boy, Orville was killed in an automobile accident on Christmas Day, 1937.

She has 39 grandchildren and 48 great grandchildren. The following are her brothers and sisters.

The funeral services were as follows:

The grave was dedicated by Cyrus Lawson, in the Ogden City Cemetery.
