Scott was born in Apollo, PA to Thomas Wayne and Goldie Hepler Callen. He proudly served in the US Army during the Korean War. He was married to his wife Sandy for 32 years and adopted her children as his own. He took the role of father seriously and was the best role model one could ask for. He retired from Harvey Lumber Company after 26 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, carpentry work, and spending time with family. He took the love of those things and passed it on to his children. Scott was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, who will be missed by all.
He is preceded in death by his brothers, Paul Callen, Robert Callen, and Everett Callen; and Sisters, Dorothy Townsend, Matilda Nale, and Della Berlin.
He is survived by his wife, Sandy Callen of Phenix City, AL; Daughters, Stephanie Catrett (David) of Phenix City, AL, and Jessica Roberts of Jonesboro,IL, his grandchildren Billy Catrett, John Catrett III, and Jessie Catrett all of Phenix City,AL, Lauren Bartlow (Joshua) of Hurst, IL, and Stephen Britton Jr. of Scott Air Force Base, IL; and Great-grandchildren, John Catrett IV, Averliegh Catrett, Donovan Catrett, Liam Catrett, and Everett Bartlow.
Pallbearers are Billy Catrett, John Catrett III, Jessie Catrett, Stephen Britton Jr., Ryen Vest, and Neil Walker.
