Maxine (Dobson) Lock 75, passed away at home on Aug. 9, 2016. She was born in Hindman, Kentucky to Mitchell and Maudie (Shepard) Dobson on Nov. 11, 1940.
Survivors include daughters, Valerie Davis, (Jerry) of Muncie, Ind., Mitzi Martin, (Steve) Middletown, Ind., and Angie Wood, (Mike) of Anderson, Ind. Siblings include Clydia Schuerman of Bradenton, Fla, James Dobson, Bradenton, Fla., Robert Dobson, (Betty), Rensselaer, Joyce Martin, (Allen), Bradenton, Fla. and Beverly Wiseman (Gene), Rensselaer.
Grandchildren include Erica Trahan, (BJ), Anderson, Ind., Tristan Shepard, (Stephanie) Alexandria, Ind., Heather Evans, (Jack), Clarkrange, Tenn., Chelsea Shepard, Muncie, Ind., Cole and Logan Martin, Middletown, Ind., and Madison Wood, Anderson, Ind.
Maxine had 10 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Chet, brother Mitchell Dobson Jr., Rensselaer, sisters Katherine Casto of Bradenton, Fla., Claudia Mueller, Bradenton, Fla., Hazel Morrison, Bradenton, Fla. and Jan Jones of Washington, Ind.
Max loved to bowl and spend time with her family. She was known for her kind and gentle disposition and strong faith in the Lord.
A memorial service will take place Saturday Aug. 27 at 10 a.m. at the Oak Grove Primitive Baptist Church, Rensselaer. Elder Thurman Ritchie officiating.
