CHARLES SURFUS DIES FROM COMPLICATION OF DISEASES
Funeral of Auburn Resident to be Held at Cedar Chapel.

Brief services at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon will be held for the late Charles Surfus at his home at 329 West Fifth street, Auburn, with a service following at Cedar Chapel in Butler township. Burial will he made -in Cedar Chapel cemetery. The Rev. G. F. Hubbartt, pastor of the, Auburn M. E. church, will officiate.

Mr. Surfus died Monday afternoon from a complication of ailments. He moved to Auburn in September, 1920, from Perry township, Allen county, where he was born September 28, 1881.

Until he took up his residence in Auburn, Mr. Surfus followed the occupation of farming. In June, 1907, Mr. Surfus was united in marriage with Miss Orpha Wyatt of Perry township. Allen county, who survives. No children were born to this union.

Besides the widow, Mr. Surfus is survived by three brothers, Clarence of Garrett, Else, north of Garrett on a farm, and John, who resides on a farm south of Garrett. The parents, one brother and two sisters preceded him in death.

Mr. Surfus was a member of A burn lodge, Knights of Pythias.
