SERVICES HELD FOR ORPHA FARNER, 96
Funeral services were held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the McKee Funeral Home for Orpha A. Farner, 96, longtime Garrett resident, who died at the Garrett Community Hospital Thursday at 9:45 a.m. Complications were listed as the cause of death and she had been ill for several months.
Born Sept. 4, 1881 in Allen County, she and Alfred Farner were married and he preceeded her in death in 1951. Survivors include a niece, Mrs. Donna Houk, Huntertown; three stepgrandchildren (Dr. James Farner and Daniel Farner of South Bend) and their sister (name unknown).
She was a member of the First Church of Christ and the Rebekahs Lodge and the Pythian Sisters.
Thomas Hensley, pastor of the First Church of Christ, officiated at the services and burial was in Cedar Chapel Cemetery.
