On Tuesday night of last week, the house of Lloyd Brown, who lives on Huff creek, near the line between Logan and Wyoming counties, was consumed by fire, and one of his little children, aged about six years, was burned up. It appears that Mr. Brown was absent from his home, and the house was left in charge of his three children, the oldest being only about ten years of age. The other children barely escaped with their lives. Mr. Brown is a poor man and lost all he had. --Logan County Banner, 27 August 1891
