Levi Newton Casey was born in Newton County, Arkansas and was the son of Anthony Casey and Mahala Celia Self. He was the grandson of Jesse E. Casey and Martha Coe and Levi Self and Martha Thrash. Levi married Mary Elizabeth V. Davis on 18 December 1870 in Newton County, Arkansas and about 1892 he and his family moved to Ardmore, Chickasaw Nation, Indian Territory. Levi and Mary Elizabeth had twelve children. Mary Elizabeth Casey died in 1908 and on 31 July 1910 Levi married Emma Sloan McKinley and they moved to Blanchard, Oklahoma. Levi and Emma had three children.
