Adam "Tubby" Roy Fringer, Jr., of Westminster, departed this life April 15 from cancer.

He was the son of the late Adam Roy and Myrtle Cummings Fringer.

Tubby spent many years operating his father's septic cleaning business and later retired as a rural route mail carrier for the Westminster postal service. He was an active member of the Uniform Rank Nights of Pythias, Fraternal Order of the Eagles, Littlestown, the VFW Men's Auxillary, Westminster, and the Moose Lodge 1381, Westminster, the Westminster Eagles #4378 and a former member of the Pleasant Valley Fire Company.

He was the loving husband of Catherine V. Robertson Fringer, with whom he had just celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary in March, and surviving, in addition to his dear wife, are children, Joyce Mann, June and husband, Raymond Baker of Westminster, Roy and wife, Sally of Thomasville, Ted and wife, Susan, and Terry Fringer, all of Westminster, and Janice and husband, Ken Coffey of Walkersville, MD; 17 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Samuel and wife Hilda of Hanover and David and wife, Anna of Westminster; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his son, Kenneth "Butch" and wife, Mary; his siblings, Mildred DeMoss, Donald, Kenneth and Betty Sentz.
