During WWII, Thelma met the love of her life, Clarence "Herb" Garrison, in Pineville, La. She would travel the world with Herb as the wife of active U.S. Air Force member. As a true military family, they traveled the world, including Germany and Japan.
Thelma had a passion for playing bridge, which she played regularly with many groups over the years. Thelma was an avid gardener and had one of the best yards on the block. Thelma was a member of the Lakewood United Methodist Church of North Little Rock, Ark.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clarence "Herb" Garrison; son, Ronald Clarence Garrison; brothers, Frank Bedora and Robert Boleyn; and sister, Mildred Warfel.
Thelma is survived by her son, Daniel Garrison and wife Adrienne, Temecula, Calif.; two daughters, Debra Myers, North Little Rock, Ark., and Susan Garrison, Little Rock, Ark.; and nine grandchildren, Jason Garrison, Gabriel Stokes, Ryan Garrison, Katie Garrison, Tyler Garrison, Casey Garrison Caster, Bernard (Buddy) Myers, Marissa Myers, Daniel Myers; and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home, 7724 Landers Road, North Little Rock, (501) 835-3515, on Thursday, October 5th at 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 6th at 9:30 a.m. at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Chapel. Interment will follow at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, in North Little Rock, Ark.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to Arkansas Hospice, 5600 W 12th street, Little Rock, Ark. 72204.
