James W. Crawford, 74, of Uniontown, retired West Penn Power Company employee died Wednesday morning at his home. He had been employed for 25 years with the Uniontown substation, and was a member of Asbury Methodist Church and the Men's Bible Class.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Mabel Miller Crawford; one son, J. Vernon Crawford, director of the Uniontown Vocational School; one daughter, Mrs. Daniel J (Lucille) Mosser of Uniontown; tow sisters, Mrs Alene Murtland of Butler and Mrs. R.B. Matthews of Uniontown; two brothers, Ira D. of Shady Grove and Robert C. of Butler, and three grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother Paul, and a sister, Mrs. Clara Murtland.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Gleason funeral home at Uniontown with Dr. Allan J. Howes officiating. Internment will be in Sylvan Heights Cemetery.
