George Socosky, 56, of Logan, departed this life Friday, April 11, 2008, at Logan Regional Medical Center.

Born July 21, 1951, in Logan, he was ae son of the late Frank and Irene Casey Socosky. Also preceding him in death was one brother, Marvin.

George was a disabled janitor for the Logan County Board of Education. He enjoyed his friends and family and he enjoyed talking to his friends and lend a hand wherever he could. George liked Country Music and Johnny Cash was one of his favorites. He will be sadly missed by those he touched.

Survivors include two brothers, Don (Carol) Socosky of Madison, Ohio, and James Socosky of Harts; two sisters, LaDonna (Bill) Williamson of Logan and Ethel Hager of Williamson, and many good friends.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 16, at the Verdunville Church of God with Pastor Michael Hartwell officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Honaker Funeral Home in Logan and one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.
