Frank Bowen Wadel, 65, of Waynesboro, Pa., passed away July 22, 1988 in Waynesboro Hospital.
He had been in failing health for a number of years and had been critically ill since March.
Born July 3, 1923 in Greene Township, Pa., he was the son of the late David and Sallie C. Bowen Wadel.
Prior to his disability, forcing his retirement in 1967, he was employed as an ammunition handler at Letterkenny Army Depot for 21 years.
He was a member of the Otterbein United Methodist Church, Mont Alto.
Surviving are his wife, Helen Smetzer Wadel, whom he married April, 1950; a sister, Jennie M. Schaeffer and a brother, Fred K. Wadel, both of Chambersburg.
