"A.C. HAILE
A.C. Haile, 51, of McAlester, died at a local hospital yesterday afternoon after a brief illness. Funeral services were to be held this afternoon with burial in the Chambers cemetery under the direction of the Humphrey funeral home.
Mr. Haile was taken ill at the home of a friend he was visiting Saturday, and rushed to the hospital.
He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Marcella Chapman, of Ardmore; two brothers, Ebb Haile of McAlester and Daniel Haile, of Idabel; three sisters, Mrs. Letha Riddle and Mrs. Randy McFarland, both of McAlester, and Mrs. Sadie Shivel, of Houston, and a step-mother, Mrs. Maggie Haile, of McAlester."
A son of Smith Stephen Haile and his 2nd wife, Sarah Elizabeth Miller Haile. Married Cora Walls in 1912 in Oklahoma. The marriage ended in divorce. They had at least 1 child, Marcella "Sally" Haile (1913-2005 Married Herbert Hoffman Chapman in 1932). Cora Walls was married 3 times: #1 Claude DeHaven in 1902, #2 Adam Haile in 1912, #3 Jess Albert Forkner in 1920.
