Survivors include a daughter, Julie Adam; sons, Barry Clayton Adams (1959–2015) and Wayne Adams; sisters, Margaret Helen Adams Smythia (1922-2003), Fannie Beatrice Adams Gilbert (1923-2000), Ethel Adams Chapman-Parker (1933–2017), Euna Mae Lee, and Hazel Elaine Adams Johnson (1938–2005); brothers, Gus Allen Adams (1925-1991), Olin Adams (1928-2017), and Philip Adams.
Also predeceased by a brother, Robert Clayton Adams (1931–1958).
