DEFOREST--Kenneth Merlin Gladem, age 67, of 509 North Main Street, DeForest, died on Wednesday, March 2, 1988 at his residence. He was born on November 2, 1920 in the Town of Perry, the son of Knut and Mary Gladem. On August 23, 1941, he married the former Doris Mickelson in Mt. Horeb. He is survived by his wife; six sons, David (Linda), Douglas (Bobbie) ,Larry (Jean), Bobby (Rita), Rick (Vickie), Raymond (Jean); eight daughters, Loretta (Lee) White, Patty (Greg) Parker, Bonnie (Dick) Jacoby, Betty (Jack) Deckard, Connie (Jerry) Yudice, Linda (Randy) Klock, Cindy (Mike) Hall, and Mary Ann (Ed) Allen; 23 grandchildren and three great grandchildren; and three sister, Mable, Ella and Hazel. He was preceded in death by three brothers; and four sisters. Funeral services will be held at Barneveld Lutheran Church on Swiss Lane, in Barneveld, Wisconsin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 5, 1988 with Reverend Robert Twiton officiating. Burial will be in Hyde Cemetery, in the town on Hyde, Wisconsin. Friends may call from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 4, 1988, at the Schroeder-Cress Funeral Home, 3325 East Washington Avenue, Madison, WI.
