She died on September 11, 1927, in Hays, Ellis, Kansas in an car accident on a Sunday on the way home. She is buried in Saint Joseph Cemetery in Hays, Ellis, Kansas with her husband name on her headstone, but he is buried in Gypus Hill Cemetery in Salina, Saline, Kansas with his second wife.
