MRS. MARTHA DAVIS PASSES AWAY MONDAY
Funeral Will be Held Wednesday at M.E. Church – Burial at Rest Haven
EDINBURG, Sept. 25. – Mrs. Martha Jane Coy Davis, 72 years old, passed away at 12 o'clock Monday at the home of her niece, Mrs. Stella Ridpath, following a long illness of a complication of diseases.
Mrs. Davis was born on August 9, 1862, the daughter of William and Elizabeth Spoon Coy. She had been a resident of Edinburg the past thirty years. She was a member of the Edinburg Methodist Church.
She was married to Oscar Davis in young womanhood. Mr. Davis passed away seventeen years ago. She is survived by one brother, Francis Coy, of Edinburg, several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Methodist Church. Burial will be made in Rest Haven Cemetery.
