Mrs. Barbara Colville Penman, wife of James Penman, died Wednesday evening at 10:30 o'clock at the family residence at West Weber after an illness of two months. The entire family was at her bedside at the time of her death.
Mrs. Penman was born at Pathhead, Fifeshire, Scotland. June 2, 1848. She was married in Scotland and with her husband became a member of the LDS church. They came to Utah in 1875 and after two years in Coalville, moved to West Weber where they have since made their home. Mrs. Penman was an active worker in the church and a member of the Relief Society.
She is survived by her husband and the following children: David, Mary, Henry, Robert, Edward and Charles Penman of West Weber. One brother John Colville, of Pathhead, Scotland, also survives.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at one o'clock in the West Weber meetinghouse with Bishop WH Heslop presiding. The body may be viewed at the home in West Weber Friday evening, Saturday, and on Sunday until time of services.
Flowers may be left out Lindquist until 11 o'clock on Sunday.
