Mrs. Edna Thomas Thrift, age 88, of Macclenny, Fla. died Tuesday, Feb. 17, in the St. Vincent's Medical Center, Jacksonville, Fla. following an extended illness. Mrs Thrift has resided in Macclenny, Fla. all of her life and was the daughter of the late Allen and Lou Sculley Thomas and the widow of the late James R. Thrift, Jr. She worked for 14 years as a nursing assistant at Northeast Florida State Hospital, Macclenny, Fla. She was a member of the New Zion New Congregational Methodist Church of Baker County, Fla. Survivors include her daughter, Clara Sue Bowen and her husband, Harry of Macclenny, Fla.; her son, Keith J. Thrift and his wife, Jessalyn of Macclenny, Fla.; two grandchildren, James D. Bowen and James E. Thrift; two step grandchildren, Garrett and Amanda Bennett. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 A.M. Friday, Feb. 20, in the New Congregational Methodist Church with Rev. Bobby Griffin, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Macedonia Cemetery, Baker County , Fla. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 P.M. Thursday, Feb. 19, at GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, U. S. 90 East, Macclenny, Fla.
