Retired Vineland Kosher Plant employee
Milton Belote, son of the late Lula Mae Teagle and Isaiah Belote, departed this earthly life on Friday, April 4, 2008, at the South Jersey Healthcare Regional Medical Center in Vineland.
Mr. Belote was born Aug. 8, 1935, in Accomac County, Va. He resided in Pocomoke City, Md., for 33 years and moved to Vineland from Nebraska 21 years ago. He was a member of the St. Matthews Baptist Church in Bishopville, Md. Milton retired from Vineland Kosher Plant in 2000. He enjoyed music, singing and playing the guitar.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Helen (Drummond) Belote; daughters, Joyce Patterson of Pocomoke, Brenda (Lloyd) White and Gwendolyn (Donald) Hemmeain of Salisbury, Md., and Earlene (Corbin) Drummond of Atlantic, Va.; sons, Ronald (Lois) Belote of Berlin, Md., Donald (Donna) and Richard (Deborah) Belote of Pocomoke, Raymond (Marlena) and Larry (Darlene) Belote of Salisbury, and Milton Jr. of Cambridge, Md.; sisters, Winnie Grace Belote of Pocomoke, Betty Smith of Berlin, Emma Smith of Virginia, and Josephine Smith of Ft. Pierce, Fla.; 24 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the St. Matthew Baptist Church, 9202 Morris Road, Bishopville, Md. where friends may call from 11 to 1 p.m.
Interment will be in the Zoar Cemetery, Bishopville, Md.
There will be a viewing from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Friday at Faith Tabernacle, 67 Grove St., Bridgeton.
