After graduating Hampton High School, she worked for the federal government as a civil servant, where she met her late husband Robert Arredondo, Sr., when he was stationed at Fort Monroe, where she was working at the commissary. They stayed happily married for 41 years, until his passing in 2006. During their marriage, they had a daughter and son, Rosemarie Kidd and Robert Arredondo, Jr.
After retirement and the passing of her husband, she delved further into her hobbies of genealogical research and helping her local United Methodist Church, Fox Hill Central. Her favorite hobby though, was time with her family. She leaves behind her children; daughter-in-law Tiffany Arredondo; grandchildren, Collin, Robbie, Isabella, Lexi, and Kylie; siblings, Nell and Johnny; and many beloved relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 1-2pm Sunday, September 10, 2023 at Fox Hill Central United Methodist Church with a funeral service beginning at 2pm. Interment will follow in Clark Cemetery.
