Died 10 a.m. Friday at his residence.

Service: 1 p.m. Monday at the Haller Funeral Home, the Rev. Harold Wingo officiating.

Calling hours: at the funeral home, after 2 p.m. Sunday, Masonic service at 7:30 p.m.

Burial: Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Kingston.

Survivors: wife, Mrs. Lou Ellen Saunders Austin; 14 children, Mrs. Gertrude Cousins, Elder Alberta Cousins, Mrs. Aretta Valentine, Mrs. Sylvia Tanner, John and Richard, all of Chillicothe; Homer, Frankfort; Mrs. Shirley Smith, Miss Connie Austin and Enos, all of Columbus; Mrs. Charlotte Vaughn and Rev. Bonfiles Austin, both of Xenia; Mrs. Bessie Thornton, of Pittsburg, Pa. , and George of Plattsburg, N.Y.; 41 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and a brother, H.P. Austin of Chillicothe. Predeceased by first wife, Blanche Hitchens Austin in 1921; and two children, Mrs. Ruth Stewart and Elijah S. Austin III.
