Trenton - Lewis Hidy died at his home Tuesday (Aug.30, 1988) at the age of 78. He was born May 7, 1910, near Trenton in Hitchcock County, the son of William and Lucinda (Burr) Hidy.
He grew up in Trenton, where he attended District 71 School.
He was married Sept. 28, 1933 at Atwood, to Elizabeth Heinbigner. They farmed northwest of Trenton and she proceded him in death Sept. 22, 1974.
He married Roxie Brown, July 16, 1977, and she preceded him in death May 18, 1983.
He spent his life farming in the Trenton community.
He was also preceded in death by an infant son, Jerry, June 27, 1934 and seven brothers.
Survivors include one son, Clarence of Trenton: one daughter, Mrs. Joyce (James) Wann of Overland Park, Kan.; one step-son, Donald Heinbigner of Vancouver, Wash.; six grandchildren; one brother, Carl; and one sister, Mamie Hidy, both of Trenton.
Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Church of God in Trenton with the Rev. John Ball and the Rev. John Rehbein officiating. Interment will be in the Trenton Cemetery. Memorials may be given in his name and left at the funeral chapel. Friends may call at the Herrmann Funeral Chapel in Trenton
