"Funeral services were held Tuesday for Orville Palmer, 70, of Fifth Street, Rensselaer, who died suddenly Saturday at Albany Medical Center Hospital, the victim of an apparent heart attack. He was a maintenance foreman at State University at Albany until his retirement 16 years ago. He was a member of the G. S. Mink and Claxton Hose Company No, 2, Rensselaer, and a former member of the Hudson-Mohawk Valley Firemen's Association. He was the husband of Irene M. Boose Palmer and the father of Orville F. Palmer of Rensselaer. He was the brother of Charles Palmer of Hampton Manor, Evelyn Palmer of Colonie, Alice Hart of Rensselaer and the late Frank and Ethel Palmer, Lois Naven, Florence Mahar, and Edna Moxon. His funeral was from the Sherwood Funeral Home, Rensselaer, and from St. John's Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial was offered. Interment was in the Holy Sepjlchre Cemetery, East Greenbush."
