Very many friends will be pained to learn of the death of Miss Minnie A. Ball, which occurred at the home of her mother, Mrs. J. Ball, corner of West and North streets, last evening at a little before 10 o'clock. After a lingering illness of twelve weeks, and much suffering incident to pneumonia, she passed away peacefully at the age of a little more than 23 years. Miss Ball will be remembered by many who did not claim her intimate friendship, as the efficient and obliging saleslady for many years in the City Store. But by her many friends she will be remembered best, for her winning social character as a companion and friend, and for her consistent and exemplary character as a young christian Uniting upon confessing of faith with the 2nd Reformed church of this city some four years ago, she has always proved exemplary in walk, enthusiastic in endeavor and deeply interested in everything related to the kingdom of Jesus Christ. She will be sadly missed in many circles, being a member of the Y. P. B. C. E. of her own church, an earnest worker in the Y. W.C. A. of the city, and otherwise active in every good word and work. Unusually sad is this affliction to her widowed mother, who within four years has been called to "pass under the rod" five times thro' the loss of, first a child, then her husband, again a child, then her mother, and now again this dearly beloved daughter. The funeral will occur Saturday afternoon from the house at 2 o'clock and from the Second Reformed church a t 2:30. An opportunity will be given to view the remains on Friday afternoon from 4 to 6.
