The memorial service will begin at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, June 30, 2022 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 5014 Hayes Ave. Sandusky. Those unable to attend in person can watch the service on Zoom.

Lloyd was born Oct. 5, 1950 in Norwalk, the eldest of 10 children born to the now-deceased Clay and Elizabeth Nelson.

He graduated from Norwalk High School in 1968, and wed the former Mary Helen Martinez on Nov. 8, 1969, commencing a 52-year loving marriage.

In addition to his Bible studies and activities related to his faith, Lloyd was an avid motorcycle enthusiast. In his free time, he thoroughly enjoyed in-depth research and studying historical events.

Lloyd always greeted everyone with a kind smile and thanked them for spending time with him. He will be greatly missed by those whom he impacted.
