Elizabeth A. "Betty" Nelson, age 87, of Findlay passed away at Fox Run Manor Sunday morning February 24, 2019. She was born in Norwalk, Ohio to the late Jesse LeVant and Idel (Lutts) Heston on Jan. 26, 1932. She married Clay Franklin Nelson on Jan. 28, 1950 and he preceded her in death on Sept. 19, 2007. She is survived by nine children: Lloyd (Mary) Nelson of Clyde, OH, Sandy (Bill) Edwards of Findlay, OH, Pam (Fernando) Florez of Cleveland, OH, Daryl Nelson of San Diego, CA, Cheryl (Bryan) Coward of Vidor, TX, Timothy Nelson of Columbus, OH, Lori Kinsey of Sheffield Lake, OH, Don (Desire) Nelson of Norwalk, OH, and Tom (Kathy) Nelson of Norwalk, OH; 24 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a son, Dan Nelson; two brothers: Don and Tom Heston; and two sisters: Ruth Gregory and Elsie Gamble. Betty was a member of the Findlay Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. She enjoyed crocheting and spending time with family. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 9, 2019 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 9935 OH-12W, Findlay, OH 45840.
