Lilly Baddour Icenhour, 98, of Munford, TN, died at home on August 7, 2023. She was born September 9, 1924, in Munford, one of six children to the late Robert Kary and Rose Haddad Baddour. She graduated from Munford High in 1943 and operated her own beauty shop in the center of town. Lilly married the love of her life, C. L. "Ike" Icenhour in 1961. They lived in Long Beach, CA, Lawrenceburg, TN, and Shelbyville, TN, and owned Fred's in both Shelbyville and Tullahoma before returning to Munford in 1987. They remained a devoted couple until his death in 2003. Lilly was predeceased by her parents, her husband, her sister Helen Deneka, and her brothers Kary, George, and Harry Baddour. She is survived by her sister Nellie Pike of Dyersburg, one niece, ten nephews, and numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews, all of whom she dearly loved. Aunt Belle, as she was affectionately known, was the aunt who sent birthday cards (including a check) every year for decades. Lilly was the family Prayer Warrior and lived her life as a wonderful example of a faithful Christian. She loved her church, River of Life Assembly of God, and her one regret late in life was that she was no longer able to attend Sunday School and Church. The family would like to extend a special thank you to her friend Charles Hambick, (Mondays will not be the same without his visits), to Martha Watkins for her efforts over the years, to Polly Beasley and Linda Walls, her long-time sitters who became her good friends and were with her until the end. Visitation will be at Munford Funeral Home on Thursday, August 10, 2023, from 10:00 until 12:00 with the service to follow at 12:00. The burial will be at Helen Crigger Cemetery. Donations may be made to River of Life Church or to the Baddour Center in Senatobia, MS.
